80 million dollars therefore go to current and former full-time employees of the company and temporary employment agencies. With the remaining 20 million, legal fees and other expenses are covered.

The comparison is the result of a lawsuit for gender discrimination from 2018, which has been revealed a sexist culture in the company.

In addition to the comparison, Riot Games was prepared to monitor the next three years to monitor its internal reporting and wage eligibility processes from a third party.

A spokesman of Riot Games said:

Three years ago, Riot was in the center of what was a settlement in our industry. We had to face the fact that despite our best intentions we had not always lived according to our values. As a company, we stood at a crossroad: we were able to deny the shortcomings of our culture or excuse us to correct the course and build a better Riot. We decided for the latter.

We are unbelievably grateful to every Router who has worked on creating a culture in which inclusiveness is the norm in which we are deeply committed to fairness and equality and promotes the embrace of variety of creativity and innovation.

While we are proud of how far we have come since 2018, we must also take responsibility for the past. We hope that this comparison recognizes those who have made negative experiences at Riot and demonstrates our desire to succeed with good example and create more responsibility and equality in the game industry.
